Yesterday I took the day to get away with some dear friends and listen to wonderful flute players from our Mid-Atlantic region at the Washington D.C. Flute Fair in Reston Virginia. I was reminded all throughout the day how important it is for all of us to constantly be refreshing ourselves through trying new things and learning from others by supporting those around us.
I came home eager to start practicing again and begin new work on fresh material.
I hope you all find the time to do something new this week.
Read a different author….
Drive to work a different way….
Buy a new pair of shoes……
But as you do, don’t forget to stop and listen to the music that is in everyone’s life around you.
Be inspired by the life of Alice Herz-Sommer, the world’s oldest Holocaust survivor who died today at 110. Playing her piano until the end, she is a joy and I am sure that her light will linger on through those she touched with her life.
Because He keeps me singing:)
Have a great week!
