The Angelus: Stopping to Pray the Incarnation

Stopping to Pray

The Angelus Prayer is traditionally prayed 3 times a day. Workers would stop and pray whenever they heard the church bells ringing. 6 am, 12 noon and 6 pm.

This prayer would include the following phrases:

The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary….

And she conceived of the Holy Spirit

Be it done unto me according to thy word.

And the Word was made Flesh.

And dwelt among us

We beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts, that we to whom the Incarnation of Christ Thy Son was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection.

Through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Imagine the color and tone of your life if you were to have the Good News of Jesus’s birth ever before you as you traveled through your day…

Live….Love….and be open and curious this week to what the Father has to show you.

Safe Travels and Restored Energy!
