My Books

God thru the Arts is a Christian ministry dedicated to sharing insights of God’s love through meditations using art and music. I have developed a lecture series.

I have also published My Dancing Day: Reflections of the Incarnation in Art and Music and The Joyful Sound: Reflections on the Life of Christ in Art and Music.

I hope these meditations will bring you closer to the loving heart of God.

  1. Thank you for following “A Way With Words.” My joy in writing is made more complete when people read what I’ve written, and even more so as they respond.

I write mainly about faith and mental illness, but am known to dabble in other subjects, stories and poems as the Spirit leads. If you have any requests, please let me know.

You have a beautiful and inspirational site and I pray you are blessed in your life and writing, as you bless others.

    Gratefully,
    Tony Roberts

Thank you so much for your kind words and for following “Orthodox City Hermit”. I am so glad you discovered me. What a blessing to discover you, your blog and your site! When I read about you that you have “a special passion for classes that blend all of the arts: visual, music, dance and theater and has enjoyed sharing these throughout the community in an ecumenical outreach ministry that endeavors to connect our diverse Christian fellowships through mutual understanding of the fullness of Christ expressed in the arts” I could hardly believe my eyes! I have been doing exactly this for decades in Greek, American and British Universities! I have been trying so hard to find someone engage in a like activity in the blogosphere! Have you discovered other such blogs or websites or e-courses? I too look forward to finding more posts by you in the future.

    1. I know I had the same feeling. You are welcome to look at my community of readers that follow me. Some are into the arts in some form but I had not really found anyone with the exact passion for varied arts and the same verse that you quoted of Jesus praying that we be one…powerful to think on that. I am currently writing my 2nd book so I am afraid that I am letting my blog go a bit. But I do plan to resume with things as soon as possible. I may not post much until the New Year so please don’t forget:) Thanks again!

I hope this finds you doing well.

I see you have been a follower of “A Way With Words.” Great! Thank you.

We have now transformed into, “Delight in Disorder: Faith & Mental Illness” (delightindisorder.org). I hope you will join us there. On the left sidebar, there is a box (below “Get More Delight”) for subscriptions so you can get the most of our mission.

    Take care & God bless,

I just completed reading through “My Dancing Day” for the 4th Christmas season! It has become a beautiful tradition for me the past few years. I look forward to sitting down with this book to read, look at inspiring artwork and listen to wonderful faith-filled music. It is a special part of my Christmas celebration.
